Marymount would like to invite you to attend one of our most important and unique fundraising events of the year – our annual Light up a Life Ceremony which takes place on Sunday December 1st from 3pm to 7pm.
Light Up a Life allows us to share memories of our loved ones as we light up our Christmas tree and also provides the opportunity for the wider community to gather and use the symbol of light to reflect on our thoughts at this special time of year.
The day will feature music from the Army Band of the 1st Brigade as well as some of Cork’s best choirs, while a very special guest will join us to switch on our lights at 6pm. We will also have a Christmas market and we will draw the winning ticket of our Toyota Luna Car draw. Tickets (which can be purchased online) will also be available on the day.
We kindly ask you if at all possible to sponsor a light at this year’s event in memory of your loved one. By celebrating a person who lit up your life, you will be helping us care for people who need our support.
Every patient in Marymount is cared for by a multi-disciplinary team of palliative care experts, nurses, care assistants and therapists. Your support enables us to continue our mission of providing specialist enabling palliative care of the highest quality for those with a life limiting illness.
You can sponsor a light:
- Online: On our special commemorative site http://lightupalife.marymount.ie/, where you can also share a personal tribute to your loved ones.
- In person: Please come to our Light Up a Light Ceremony on Sunday December 1st at 3.30pm
We look forward to welcoming you to Marymount for this very special event.
