The Library

Access

The Library service is available to all hospital personnel and students attending courses or on placement in Marymount University Hospital & Hospice. If a member of the public wishes to visit the Library (reference only) please contact the Librarian to arrange an appointment. The material held in the library covers such areas as palliative care, end of life care, care of the older person and bereavement care.

Borrowing

Members of staff may borrow 6 books for a period of 6 weeks. Students may borrow 3 books for a period of 4 weeks. Books may be renewed if not requested by another reader. Journals may not be borrowed.

Information Retrieval Services

Training can be provided on how to search the databases. Alternatively, the librarian is also available to carry out any information searches.

Inter-Library Loan Service

Journal articles which are not available in the library can be ordered from other sources. Book loans are available from The British Library, Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin. Charges may apply. Please contact the Librarian for further details.

Facilities

There are computers, study desks, photocopying & scanning facilities available for staff and student use. Charges apply for photocopying and copyright regulations apply.
